West City Explorers and Leaders at a recent ceilidh

Explorer Scouts cater for the 14-17 age Group. Each Explorer unit draws its members from several Scout Troops in the district.

The 10th is the “partnering” Group for the West Perth City Explorer Unit who use our premises for their meetings. The Group is very active with over 30 members enjoying a wide range of local, Regional, National and even International activities and events throughout the year.

We have a close relationship with the Unit and our older Scouts usually move into the Explorers.

Explorer Scouts undertake their own personal development training programme working towards their Queens Scout and D of E awards.

Explorer Scouting can also cater for those young people who may prefer to do their Scouting through assisting the junior sections as a Young Leader without necessarily attending Unit meeting on a regular basis.
