The photos are in the Group gallery section here (or use the left menu to get to the Photo Gallery and select the Group section - if you can't see the Group section in the gallery then you're not logged in!). A Scout from the 10th has won 1st prize in their age category at the District Swimming Gala held at Glenalmond College on Friday 5th February. Group members can find out who it was in the Scout News section. Congratulations & well done to everyone from the 10th who took part. |

2009 - what a year ! |

2009 was an incredibly busy year, which included (in no particular order):
- Taking over our new HQ and the (rather damp!) Official Opening in May
- The start of the Group's Centenary Year
- Cub Camps including Bonaly (Edinburgh) and Lochgoilhead
- Scouts camping at Loch Ordie, Glen Lyon and Craggan and the Troop winning the District's Camping, Camp Cooking and Challenge Hike competitions - some treble !
- The Scout / Explorer Denmark Jamboree trip with 50 of us joining 20,000 other Scouts from around the World for an unforgettable fortnight
- The September Group Camp in Glen Lyon when over 100 members tackled over 100 different activities
- The all sections Sports Night and Campfire in June
- The first 24 hour "Round the World" sleep-over for the Beavers
- Starting up the second Beaver Colony
- Recruiting several new leaders and increasing our youth membership by over 30 youngsters
- The Renunion Dinner for over 100 former members
- The launch of the Activity Support Fund (see article in the January Newsletter)
Yes it's been a very busy year, but one which we hope everyone really enjoyed.
A huge "thank-you" is due to all the Leaders and Executive Committee members who gave so much of their time to make everything happen.

10th Cubs Retain District Swimming Trophy once again ! |

On Saturday 21st November the 10th Perthshire Cub Pack won the overall Gala and retained the District Swimming Trophy for the 14th year in a row !!! Well done & thank you to everyone who took part. With 153 Cubs taking part in all there was no lack of support for all the swimmers. The Leisure Pool's public address system was no match for the Cubs !

The Centenary Dinner took place at the Lovat Hotel on 14th November and was a great success. Thanks to Neil Wallace there is a slide show on smilebox (click here), with photos from the weekend's celebrations mixed with a selection from the archives. |
